Just Testing

You just can't get enough cute kitty photos, can you? Actually, i'm having trouble posting to the blog from my phone, so this is a test. I've discovered I'm much more likely to post something sitting on my couch than from sitting at my computer. Just call me lazy.

Slippers!

Now that it's getting warmer, I'm almost done with my felted clogs. It's good that my feet are always cold. I'll still probably be wearing them in the summer when it's 100 degrees outside. I've been a bad blogger lately, but coming soon, I'll have a post about my fabulous girls and birthday weekend in Colorado. I also have exciting bike news. It was a big week last week.

Guilt, You Are A Kitty.

It's amazing how cats just know when you're going to abandon them. Nothing else would explain the flurry of kitty activity and sad faces while sitting in my luggage this morning while I got ready to leave for the airport this morning. Xena is not happy with me. But, no sad kitty faces are going to keep me from missing my weekend with the girls in Colorado. I'm so excited to see my friends! I'm happy to report that my luggage came in just under the 50 pound weight limit. That's probably going to be a problem on the way home. There is a lot of shopping on the agenda.

Happiness Is A Sleeping Kitty.

This is the first of what I'm sure will be a million gratuitous cute kitty shots. You thought you were getting a bargain with both knitting and triathlon? I'll be throwing in the kitty shots for free.

Warm Weather, Please Stay A Little Longer

It was a beautiful day in Bville. Spring is trying to break through, but winter looks as if it will be rearing its ugly head again tomorrow. That's inspiration to pick up and work on my fingerless mitts again to keep my hands toasty on cold nights. It's a pattern from the Weekend Knitting book. I'm using some Knit Picks Andean Treasure yarn I had laying around. This is a photo of mitt number two. The first one is camera shy. I have managed to stay on track with swimming. I'm so proud of myself. Two scheduled swims in a row and I haven't skipped one yet. It was a 1200m day today. I'm sure I'll be the first one out of the water at Ironman because of this. No one else could be taking their training as seriously as I am.

I want to ride my bicycle!

After a 6 mile treadmill run (ugh!) on Saturday morning, I headed to "The City" (that's Oklahoma City for all of you non-Oklahomans), to look at a bike. I've been drooling over the Kuota Kalibur for awhile online, but wanted to see one in person before I make any decisions. It was even prettier in person. I think I'm in love. I also looked at the Cervelo P3C and P2C. Also very cool bikes. So many fun toys to choose from. Decisions, decisions. And once I decide which bike, then I have to decide what color I want. That's really the most important thing. A bad paint job makes you go slow.

The rest of the weekend was pretty lazy. A little sushi at In the Raw Saturday night, and then watched the Super Bowl Sunday afternoon. I didn't pay much attention to the game, and was really disappointed by the ads. Nothing too memorable.

This week is a busy one. Work is crazy, and I'm trying to get ready for my trip out to Colorado. I can't think of a better way to spend my birthday than with my friends. I can't wait!

This Should Be A Pair Of Slippers By Now

I've been anxiously awaiting a pattern I ordered to make a pair of felted clogs to keep my feet warm in this insanely cold weather. It's been a week since i placed the order. I'm starting to worry that it is lost in the mail. It's so hard to be patient when your feet are cold. In other news, yesterday was my triumphant return to the pool. It's been 6 months, and as most of you know, i am not a big fan of swimming. If I didn't have to get wet it wouldn't be so bad. But, they won't let me do Ironman without swimming, so I suffer through it.
